Aluu4 Movie in the making

Pardon me, but I just have to get this out of the way first. Mscheeewwwwww!

There, I’m done.

Ever since Police apprehended the killers of the four University of Port-Harcourt students in October this year, not much has been heard about the case. Well, apparently, certain movie producers can’t be bothered with waiting for the case to be solved or the family to be done grieving. They’ve jumped on the money train and whipped out a movie adaptation of the ugly incident. Yep. There’s an Aluu4 movie in the making and it’s being produced by Simony Productions, the Idumota marketers that brought you Blackberry Babes.

Allegedly, the movie will be titled Aluu4. This project, to me, smacks of mediocrity and lack of proper research, and motivated more by money than by a need for a tribute to the memory of the young men who lost their lives to that brutality. It’s also alleged that the production team didn’t even bother with contacting the family members of the murdered boys, or even visiting the Omoikiri community in Aluu where these killings occurred. They probably didn’t even interview anyone directly involved in the case, including the police, to get the inside knowledge of what really happened that Friday. In all certainty, the movie will be entirely based on everything written online.

It’s sad, really. The perpetrators of the dastardly act haven’t yet been brought to book; the wounds are still fresh; the parents still mourning. This is just wrong on so many levels

Its illegal to have a movie or any material published when the Aluu4 case is still in court. Very illegal!!
