Hilarious tweets! ‘Airtel this is a BLEACH of contract’: Nigerians react to the Airtel BIS saga

BaV-lXxIIAA9eUoTelecommunications company, Airtel, has become a major subject of discussion on Nigerian social media. This is due to a message sent by the network to all its subscribers which reads:

“Dear Customer, effective 3rd December 2013, AIRTEL BB Plans will cease to function on non BB devices or used as a modem. Thank you.”

The development has generated an outcry over social media as a lot of Android device users had resorted to using the Airtel BIS on their devices to save cost. Here are some reactions given via Twitter:

  9. What is paining me is that for the past few weeks airtel network has been badly messed up. And I keep getting these basketball, health and chat messages they refuse to disable.

    Na just the BlackBerry plan bin dey keep me. Now they wan comot am. The only thing keeping me royal. No wahala.
