Miley Cyrus backs female nudity campaign

celebs 89Now why doesn’t this shock me?

Saucy singer Miley Cyrus has thrown her weight behind a campaign supporting women’s right to strip off.

The pop star, who has come under fire in recent months over her provocative stage performances and flesh-flashing costumes, and for stripping off in her Wrecking Ball video, is now backing the controversial Free The Nipple campaign, a drive aimed at decriminalizing female nudity in the U.S. and ending restrictions on showing the female form in movies.

She posted a link to the campaign’s Twitter.com page on her account, along with a photograph showing her holding up a fake nipple. A representative for the campaign subsequently thanked the star for her backing.

@ Miz D. You echoed my thoughts especially ’bout her Dad. The man try but you know; at the end of the day, its every man to his tents. That’s the path she’s chosen to tread and I pray if anything, for her father’s sake, she go come back to her senses before its too late.
