What’s the worst piece of advice anyone ever gave you? No, really, close this tab right now, find a quiet place (probably on the roof), and think long and hard about that one advice you got from John that made you decide, “I’ll make sure my grandkids never build sand castles with John’s grandkids.” Go figure it out, we’ll wait for you. Good, you’re back. Do you wanna share with the class?

I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess most of you came back with grotesquely silly pieces of advice like “Don’t read silly long blog posts”, “Never trust beardless people”, or the classic “Never drink goat piss in the morning” piece of wisdom the neighbourhood drunkard assaults your ear with every morning as he downs his fifth bottle of rum.
