Aviation Minister Stella Oduah’s MBA record a ‘fake’? Minister covers tracks by erasing references online

minister-Stella_Oduah_2Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation Stella Oduah is facing a new scandal; this time it is concerning her Masters Degree.

In 2011, she submitted her résumé to the Nigerian Senate as a ministerial nominee. It highlighted that she was awarded a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Saint Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, Virginia, USA.

Sahara Reporters recently contacted the Office of the President of the College. It was revealed that the school in its 125-year history has never had a graduate school or program. “We don’t offer any graduate programs here,” the Provost Vice President of Institutional Development said in response to the enquiries by the news agency.

After the news was made public, Premium Times ran a story that Stella Oduah and her team are scrambling to cover up her tracks by deleting all information on her educational background from the internet. Her profile page on Facebook was edited and all traces of St. Paul’s College was removed from the account. It was also removed from her Wikipedia page and her biography on the Ministry of Aviation website. See screen grabs after the cut…Stella-Oduah-OgiemwonyiHer Wikipedia page only says she received her Bachelors and Masters Degree (in Accounting and Business Administration respectively) in the United States, with no mention of what university.f2

    • You’re talking. Is it them that verified her credentials or newspaper houses that went on a hunt? Without Sahara Reporters, would we know? Tufiakwa really to this country.

  4. news like these often times irritates me..with all the high technology today internet and all those stuff that only computer whiz people could know how could this happen. How come the journalists or its equivalent were able to know and expose the truth and the authorities are (I imagine) left with their mouths open with disgust with something they did not found out themselves. So needless to say authorities need to better their job and find out not just individuals but also organizations such as this one for example http://www.stsaviationgroup.com/dnn/ComponentSolutions.aspxabout the authenticity of their credentials and claims for that matter.
