WaitAMinute! The series ‘24’ is back?!

rs_560x415-140122103715-1024.kiefer.cm.12214_copyJack Bauer is back!

24: Live Another Day, Fox’s highly anticipated reboot of the beloved show, has officially kicked off production on the 12-episode miniseries in London. And Kiefer Sutherland picks up where he left off: battered and bloody and on the streets of London, and surrounded by flipped over cars and fire. Ah, feels just like old times, right?

The Fox miniseries will pick up four years after the 2010 series finale, with Jack Bauer still in hiding as a fugitive. “He is hunted and he is still hunted when the show begins,” executive producer Manny Coto teased. So how does Jack resurface? Sutherland previewed that when the current TV president makes his way to London for a summit with the prime minister, Jack will intercept intelligence “that lets him know something very bad is going to happen there that I can’t tell you about.”

And in addition to the return of Mary Lynn Rajskub as fan favorite Chloe, who is now “anti-government” and in “a bad spot,” Chuck vet Yvonne Strahovski is joining the series as the CIA agent hunting Jack and The O.C.’s Tate Donovan will tackle the role of White House Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau.

The season will play out, as usual, in real time. However, unlike previous seasons, there will only be 12 episodes, instead of 24. Explaining previously how the new condensed series will be paced, Gordon said: ‘We’re going to take advantage of the time. The story will be 12 hours over a day, but we’ll take advantage of the fact that we can go from seven o’clock to nine o’clock.’

Kiefer also recently said that the new series doesn’t necessarily mean that a 24 movie won’t happen.

When you can’t find work, convince the network executives to bring back the show that basically stereotyped you.

Yeah it has been cancelled. Why do you think he is seriously gunning for the continuation of 24 and a possible movie. Guy is toast without 24

You seem to like “returning” shows. Friends and now 24? Should we bring back Village Headmaster?

Trying to ruffle my feathers abi? I just had an inkling I was gonna hear from Anyi aka Grumpy or Scrooge, if you like; this beautiful morning. Good Morning to you buddy and while we’re on the subject of shows making a comeback, I’d also looove to see ‘New Masquerade’, ‘Checkmate’, ‘Cock Crow at Dawn, ‘Ripples’, Second Chance’ and ‘Mirror In The Sun’, return back to the silverscreen. Those are the ones I seem to remember right about now, I’ll be sure to keep you posted ’bout others as I deem fit.*straight-faced with arms akimbo*.

      • LMAO! Checkmate. Now THAT was a good show.

Good afternoon to you too. I can see you know your local TV shows. Your childhood must have been fantastic, no wonder you have an over active but great imagination. *smiley face with arms outstretched*

Darn Anyi! I must say this is by far the bestest compliment I’ve heard you dish out in a long while and a very Good Afternoon to you too. Did you hit a jackpot today then, care to share why you’re suddenly in a dandy mood, yes? And should I be worried getting into them outstretched arms too, or is that a booby trap? Thanks buddy, your ‘sense of sarcasm’ is to die for, you rock; ALWAYZ! LMAO!
