‘People should know where to draw the line.’ Superstar Omotola goes off on bloggers for updating photos of her 14 Year Old Daughter as ‘Hot & Sexy’

Ekeinde-August-2013-BellaNaijaBefore being an actress or public figure, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is a mother first! And her protective side has come out & she is blasting some bloggers who posted pictures from her 14 year old daughter, Meriah Ekeinde’s Instagram account and tagged them as hot and sexy.

The second daughter of the Nollywood star actress turned 14 a few days ago on February 7, 2014 & her mother is not taking it lightly that the blogosphere is alive with photos of her under-aged child, tagged as ‘Hot & Sexy.’

See the mother’s angry message and the photos that brought it about below.OmotolaJaladeEkeinde_AngryMessage_that1960chickdotcomMeraiah-Ekeinde-1Meraiah-Ekeinde-5

In my opinion, while I understand Mama Omosexy’s reason to be furious, she should understand that aside from the fact that she’s a celebrity, a status which automatically makes her and family subject to scrutiny from media and fans, Instagram is part of the porous world of the social media. The simple fact that her daughter posted those pictures already makes her a target to whoever is perverse enough to pick an interest. Her daughter put it out there first. The bloggers (except me ooo!) simply facilitated the proceedings.

Abeg chill, Tola. Your daughter is indeed sizzling hawt! Biko, she turned into a woman overnight. Sexual development is a normal part of growth. Rather than panicking, face it and deal with it.

Oh puhlezzz….when the daughter was striking such a pose and pouting, what was her aim?wasn’t it to look “sexy”?..No?….#rollingmyeyes#…I don’t remember striking such poses for a photograph when I was 14(granted,there was no instagram)…I understand the mother’s concerns though…

Nawa o. I think she should just monitor what her kids are doing online. If there were no pics in the first place, then bloggers wouldn’t have ‘hijacked’ and captioned her daughter as hot and sexy. Besides, i don’t see her daughter complaining, she clearly wants her Momma’s appellations with those suggestive poses. LOL!

    • Inhabitants of the social media seldom respect boundaries. And calling her daughter ‘hot and sexy’ doesn’t exactly qualify as a cyber crime. So, if all this bothers her, she should start by reprimanding the young girl on the issue of what pictures to post. Nobody would care if she was the daughter of a regular Nigerian. The fact that she’s Omotola’s daughter makes her fair game.
Just being the Devil’s Advocate here o. 🙂
