The Things They Tweet…about the 20 girls abducted by Boko Haram

Nine-Soldiers-Feared-Dead-In-Fresh-Boko-Haram-Ambush01On Tuesday Feb 11th, 20 young women were abducted by Boko Haram members after a raid at the village of Konduga in Borno State. Two weeks later, nothing has been heard about the abducted women.

Former VP Atiku Abubakar took to twitter some hours ago asking the President to show concern about the missing women. Security agencies aren’t saying anything. Are they even looking for them?

He should give his words of compassion and move on. He should not tackle another for not doing that. Boko haram is on the head of the president, he battles everyday in finding ways to end this insurgency so if he is yet to go on social media to send words of compassion, nothing stops Atiku from doing that. Everything must not be politics. Of cos he has much respect for the office of the C-I-C, that usually happens when you covet something so much.

Everything in this country’s politicized. I’m forced to wonder if Atiku’s sentiments are borne out of genuine compassion for the victims or just a smokescreen to discredit Jonathan. He could as well have sent a private E-mail to the President instead of this phony public outcry. Thesse guys are just sooo pathetic. Everybody dey talk, Atiku sef dey yans. Self- absorbed lotz!
