Shakira Responds To Politician Who Called For A Ban On Her Video

marco-fidel-ramirez-shakira-rihannaSinger Shakira has taken aim at a politician in her native Colombia who called for a ban on the video for her new Rihanna collaboration because it promoted lesbianism.

Earlier this month (Feb14), Bogota’s Marco Fidel Ramirez urged bosses at Colombia’s National Television Authority to ban the Can’t Remember to Forget You promo because it featured scenes of the singers rolling around provocatively on a bed wearing skimpy lingerie.

Expressing his concern on Twitter.com, Ramirez wrote, “Shakira’s new video is a shameless case for lesbianism and immorality. It is a danger to children. It sends a provocative message to weak people who can be polluted and induced to practice (lesbianism).” (more…)

Rihanna and Shakira give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their smoking hot music video

The Barbadian beauty joined the Colombian bombshell on her latest single, Can’t Remember To Forget You, and fans who were eagerly awaiting a saucy video were not disappointed. Colombian Politician blasts Shakira for ‘Erotic’ Rihanna Video, says it ‘Promotes Lesbianism’

Screen-shot-2014-02-04-at-12.46.59-PMFollowing the release of her critically acclaimed music video, Can’t Remember to Forget You, featuring Rihanna, Shakira is being slammed by Colombian politician Marco Fidel Ramirez. According to the New York Daily News, Marco is outraged over the video, as he claims it “promotes lesbianism.” As a result, he’s calling on Colombia’s National Television Authority to ban the video from being broadcast on any and all channels in the country.

Marco argues that the Colombian recording artist’s video “damages the moral character of the youth of Bogota, Colombia and Latin America.” (more…)

Celebrity Sighting: Shakira and baby

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria’s Finance Minister is Forbes’ 83rd Most Powerful Woman in the World | See Who Else Is On The List

14484Earlier today Wednesday 22nd May 2013, Forbes released its annual list of The World’s Most Powerful Women.
According to Forbes, the list is made up of 100 women who made the most impact. They include top politicians and CEOs, activist billionaires and celebrities.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria’s finance minister also makes the power list. The 58 year old Harvard-educated finance minister who has spent one year in office after a failed bid for the World Bank presidency, moves down from the 81st position to the 83rd.
Joyce Banda, President of Malawi is up from the 71st position to the 47th and Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of Liberia also makes the list. She is at the 87th position, down 5 from last year. (more…)

Shakira Shares the First Photo of Baby Milan

Shakira has released the first photo of her sweet baby boy Milan – and, not surprisingly, it is beyond adorable. The snapshot features the singer’s soccer star beau, Gerard Piqué, delicately cradling the nearly two-week-old infant while giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Milan, who snoozes through his big photo shoot, has brown hair and full lips.

The photo is available on the couple’s UNICEF website, where the charity is accepting donations of $5-$110 in honor of Milan’s birth, which took place January 22 in Barcelona.

“We hope that, in his name, other less privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations,” Shakira, 36, and Piqué, 26, said in a statement. “Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment with us.”

As for that name, when the Hips Don’t Lie singer announced the arrival of Milan, she explained that it means “dear, loving, and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification.”

But when I look at him, all I can think of is: “adorable!”

From Britney Spears to Beyoncé, these millionaire artists are giving further proof that girls indeed run the world. To form their list, Forbes looked at income from record sales, touring, endorsements, merchandise sales and other ventures.

1. Britney Spears ($58 million)

Fresh Sightings of Shakira’s baby bump

Those hips have been taking a rest from those lies they’ve not been telling, that’s for sure.

Shakira  was spotted clinging to boyfriend Gerard Pique‘s side with her baby bump on display in Barcelona, Spain. The 35-year-old singer and her beau announced in September they were expecting their first child together, and you just know, from the good genes of the loving couple, that this kid is going to be seriously adorable.
