White Flag! Miley Cyrus thinks Sinead O’Connor is an incredible artist

rs_560x415-131004082653-1024.Miley-Cyrus-Sinead-O-Connor-Twitter.jl.10413_copyMiley Cyrus has attempted to end her war of words with Sinead O’Connor by offering the Irish singer high praise days after she poked fun at her mental health issues on Twitter.com.

Cyrus and O’Connor became embroiled in an online feud last week after the Irish singer posted an open letter to the former Hannah Montana star warning her not to over-sexualize her public image. Cyrus responded on Twitter.com by mocking O’Connor’s mental issues and comparing her to troubled actress Amanda Bynes. The feud further escalated with O’Connor threatening legal action. Scarlett Johansson 19Seven years after being named Esquire magazine’s sexiest woman alive, Scarlett Johansson has earned the title for a second time.

Johansson, who also won in 2006, is the first woman to get the honor twice. The acclaimed actress, whose films include The Avengers and the just released Don Jon, celebrated the accolade with a cover shoot for the popular glossy monthly. See picture below. (more…)

Outrage over Rihanna’s ‘Pour It Up’ video that even her own fans hate

article-2446475-188ED9D800000578-958_634x470Rihanna is facing an extraordinary backlash after even her fans branded her  latest video ‘obscene’, ‘vile’ and ‘pornographic’.

Hundreds took to social networking sites to tell the singer that she should be ashamed of herself over the X-rated images in Pour It Up. They questioned whether she was fit to be a role model to her millions of young and impressionable fans. Campaigners also called for YouTube to ban the video, which has already been viewed more than nine million times since its release on Wednesday.

Dr Helen Wright, a former president of the Girls’ School Association, urged parents to stop their children watching the video. ‘No matter how much people may talk about its artistic merit, it nonetheless objectifies and therefore demeans women by casting them in the mould of whore,’ she said. The ‘Fine China’ singer, who ended his on/off relationship with Rihanna for good earlier this year, claims he began watching porn at a very early age and had his first sexual experience with a local girl, who was 14 or 15, while growing up in Tappahannock, Virginia.

The 24-year-old star told The Guardian newspaper: ”It’s different in the country. By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot, you know what I’m saying? Like, girls, we weren’t afraid to talk to them; I wasn’t afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it.
